Before deciding if counselling is right for you, I offer a free 45 minute consultation either face to face, on zoom or over the phone. This gives you the opportunity to get a feel for how I work and the surroundings you will be in. During this appointment I will complete an assessment to ensure that I am suitable to work with you.

I believe that every person’s healing journey is unique, which is why I offer a tailored and individual approach to therapy and wellbeing. Together, we can explore the services I offer — including counselling, life coaching, Reiki, and trauma-informed approaches — to create a therapeutic experience that feels supportive, empowering, and personal to you. I understand that no single approach works for everyone, so I aim to provide choice, flexibility, and a safe space where your needs, goals, and comfort remain at the centre of our work together. My intention is to support you in a way that feels meaningful, balanced, and aligned with your own journey towards healing and growth.

Trauma-informed counselling is a gentle and supportive approach that recognises the impact trauma and difficult life experiences can have on emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing.
It provides a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where clients can feel heard, respected, and supported throughout their healing journey.
Trauma-informed counselling understands that trauma can affect emotions, relationships, confidence, behaviours, and the nervous system, often leaving people feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or emotionally exhausted.
By working at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for each individual, this approach helps clients build trust, develop emotional resilience, reconnect with themselves, and move towards healing, balance, and wellbeing.

Journal therapy is a supportive and reflective approach that uses writing to help explore thoughts, emotions, and life experiences. Through guided journaling, clients can express feelings in a safe and personal way, helping to reduce stress, increase self-awareness, and gain clarity around difficult emotions or situations. Writing can support emotional healing, help process trauma, challenge limiting beliefs, and encourage personal growth and mindfulness. Journal therapy can also provide a space for reflection, self-discovery, and understanding patterns that may be affecting emotional wellbeing. Used alongside counselling and holistic therapies, journaling can become a valuable tool for healing, balance, and deeper connection with yourself.

Eco therapy is a gentle and holistic approach that supports emotional wellbeing through connection with nature. Spending time in natural environments can help reduce stress, anxiety, and feelings of overwhelm, while encouraging calm, grounding, and self-awareness. Eco therapy may involve mindful walks, connecting with the senses outdoors, meditation in nature, or simply using the natural world as part of the healing process. It can help clients feel more present, emotionally balanced, and connected to both themselves and the world around them. By combining therapeutic support with the calming benefits of nature, eco therapy offers a nurturing space for reflection, healing, and personal growth.

Together we will complete our working agreement which outlines how we work together, and what we can expect from each other. During this we discuss confidentiality and the handling of your personal data. I will also discuss with you your expectations, how you want to work (in the therapy room, outdoors, a mixture of the two, on zoom, over the phone) and what you are hoping to achieve from in more detail.
All sessions are 50 minutes long and begin at your allocated appointment time. If you are late to the session, the time will be lost and not added on to the end. Unless otherwise discussed and agreed, your appointment will be on the same day and time every week.
Currently I offer sessions on a Tuesday and Thursday between the hours of 9.00am - 5pm. .
Telephone and email queries will be answered from Monday - Friday between 9am and 5pm. My phone will be on silent during the day when I am working with clients but please be assured I will respond back to you as quickly as possible.
